Judas Priest calling it quits

Postby pflinger on Tue Dec 07, 2010 2:18 pm

Im shocked to read this  Wont miss this tour

"After storming the world for nearly 40 years and taking their very special brand of heavy metal to all four corners of the planet, JUDAS PRIEST - one of the most influential heavy metal bands of all time, have announced this will be their final world tour!!

However, the mighty PRIEST will certainly be going out strong as they rock the planet starting in 2011 on the massive EPITAPH tour - hitting all the major cities throughout the world they will be playing the songs that helped make the name JUDAS PRIEST synonymous with heavy metal!

With all guns blazing and amps cranked to eleven, the band will be giving all their fans one last chance to witness the ultimate metal experience that is JUDAS PRIEST!

JUDAS PRIEST will be starting their world tour in Europe - we have just confirmed the following festivals for 2011 -

9th June Sweden Rock Festival, Sweden
11th June Sauna Festival, Finland
17th June Copenhell Festival, Copenhagen, Denmark
19th June Hellfest, Nantes, France
22nd June Gods of Metal Festival, Milan, Italy
25th June Graspop Festival, Belgium
23rd July HIgh Voltage Festival, London, UK
5th August Wacken Festival, Germany

Stay tuned as we announce more dates - information will be forthcoming soon - so start getting prepared to rock one final time with the incomparable JUDAS PRIEST!!"

Not a day too soon. Judas Priest are a completely irrelevant band nowadays and it is about time they quit before they get too ridicolous.

Old Judas Priest rock, and their music will always live on, but since they haven't creted a remotely listenable album for years and the fact Rob can't sing anymore it was about time.

Sifting away the debris of hated life
Cold touch of death begins to chill your spine
Seeking life beyond your perishment
Repeating words echoing through your mind

dont care
Slayer is the speed-metal band that's never slowed down. Metallica? They enlisted a touchy-feely therapist to help the band finish its St. Anger album. Very unmetal. The once-mighty Anthrax is pretty much an afterthought.Image

Well, it´s true, it´s a good time to quit before becoming ridiculous old bastards...

and h82k2, I hope they play their greatest hits like "breakin´ the law", "another thing coming" and "turbolover" on their final tour... I never has attended a Priest tour, and this will be my last chance... if the hit Mexico, of course.

Gonna try to catch a show or two one last time! Great band
Sacrifice the lives of all I know they
Soon shall die
Their souls are damned to rot in Hell
and keep the fire growing deep inside
Hell awaits...

Rob Halford is only 10 years older than Tom Araya. Tom has been way more physical onstange than Halford has, what you`re saying is a stretch!
