Why do fans dislike God Hates Us All?

Can those of you who are so quick to say God Hates Us All is bad, lackluster, etc. tell me WHY you think that? I have been a Slayer fan since 1986 and bought God Hates Us All the day it came out back in 2001 and STILL think it is one of their most aggressive and pissed off sounding albums of all time! I FUCKING LOVE IT!

In my opinion, the lackluster album, if there ever would be one, would be Christ Illusion. I seem to only listen to 3 songs on it: Cult, Cataonic, and Jihad, where as all my other Slayer discs get played straight through.....

GOD HATES US ALL is right up there with Reign in Blood and Hell Awaits as my top 3 Slayer faves.

If you don't lke it, fine. But I would really appreciate it someone would tell me WHY?

actually, Darkness of christ is the only track that I like, even though it sounds really blurry...
but its not a bad album !
its just much worse than any of their first 5 albums

When "God Hates" first came I hated it. I listened to it once when I first got the CD, It was too different from Seasons, Devine & Diabolus or any other Slayer album. Too harsh, noisy, not what I was expecting from a Slayer album.
A few months later I played it again,I liked it, it was good. The more I played it the more I liked it. "God Hates" is a great Slayer album. I don't know what I was hoping for, maybe a return to the old Slayer stuff.
Slayer has evolved over the years, I don't think they should try to re-invent their old music or style. Their early stuff is awesome! There will never be another "Reign in Blood", "Hell Awaits" or "Show no Mercy" for Slayer, they have already done it!
Too many fans want their favorite bands to keep the same feel or sound. That would be boring, musicians and music needs to evolve or end up as a forgotten one-hit-wonder song/band.

GHUA is great album, imo you you need to know the lyrics to fully enjoy it and to understand what it's about.

How much thrash from 90's and 2000 have you heard. There is plenty great thrash from time those periods guess you havent heard everything. As for brutal death and grindcore gets boring for me

i think ghua is lackluster but acceptable good. hear is why, there is a boring filler with seven faces, bloodline and devience in a row. it makes the album to metalcore boring. i would have loved if slayer never put these 3 songs on the album. then ghua would have been just a 10 song awesome no filler album. btw devience is such an aweful song. that is jeffs abomination.

GHUA sucks for many reasons but the main reason being all the stupid low dropped tunings.....playing in B for payback,that`s just dumb and live it just sounds a mess,want proof listen to the live version oF payback from
