Slayer - final world tour

Postby Kerry on Wed Jan 24, 2018 5:54 am

Russian fan-club Slayer "Slatanic Wehrmach Russia" thinks that the news about the final world tour might be just a marketing trick.
It makes sense to invite the artists who used to play in the band at some point, people like Ice-T, Jon Dette, Tony Scaglione, Pat O'Brien and Dave Lombardo who worked with the members of the band.
This tour should be Slayer and Slayer only. No other bands in the tour. Otherwise it just turns into another series of concerts with a bunch of opening bands taking up time from people who came to enjoy the band they love.
The show should last not less than 3 hours, because it is the last chance for all of us to see our favorite band, and it should be phenomenal , should be a grand final in the history of Slayer.

And an original setlist. No Seasons / Dead Skin Mask and other standard Slayer songs.

slayer will never play for 3 hours everynight if they did it would be a very short tour, because toms voice would probably blow out

I think last set of final dates, whenever they announce those, should have Slayer play a solid 2 hour set. They should have one old school opening band as well. That would be ideal IMO!

Yes, Hell Awaits (album) is not represented enough in the live set. I hope they dig out some rarities for the final tour.

that's nothing unusual......but

crypts of eternity never made it past the HA tour
praise of death never made it past the RIB tour
kill again never made it past the SOH tour
although hardening of the arteries was played during the 1991 European tour in nov/dec

Truth be told, I could give a damn what they play live.
For many years, Slayer shows are really an official "my day" to enjoy a band that i like and not give a fuck anyone else is up to. Yes there are a handful of other bands I feel this way about but I have gone to way more slayer shows than any other band...
I will just have to find something else to do...like have a baby and teach that baby how to play thrash metal guitar and arise to have a band called "the boot up kerry king's ass", it will be a glorious concert mecca to a new generation of metalsters.
