thank you for the effort and the info
ive seen a few of these on ebay
Slayer is the speed-metal band that's never slowed down. Metallica? They enlisted a touchy-feely therapist to help the band finish its St. Anger album. Very unmetal. The once-mighty Anthrax is pretty much an afterthought.Image

NICE JOB!!!!
thanks for the info

but hey: aren´t ALL bootlegs "homemade"?
i mean that´s what a boot is all about.
the only difference is that some are made on a cutting machine and other on a vinyl press.
I really don´t care. if the package is fitting (layout, tracks, price) I also collect the acetates. :paranoid:

im gonna have to call bullshit. some of the bootlegs looked really cool and id love to own a few of those. i dont know anything about "cutting machine" and the link you provided, the website doesnt say much about it. a bootleg is a bootleg,i dont know what would be different about "homemade" or not. maybe it doesnt sound very good, but is it utter trash? can you hear anything? does it sound like a record?

slayercollector is right...these are fucking homemade bootlegs or records or whatever you want......with a record cutting machine every people can make a record in there own garage at home if he want.....he doesn't must go to a factory or record company he can do it at home....so you can make a very limited edition from perhaps 10 or 25 copies and can sell this for many many more in the http://www.....so in some years are 1000000 bootlegs from Slayer or Metallica, Iron Maiden around and really no collector can get it all.........for a perfect privat collection.......

Many new crapy homemade bootlegs is made and for sale on Ebay. A update regarding this will be done very soon. If you see a bootleg limited to 50 copies or less its probably homemade. Do not buy. Many of them are made from Greece. Beware!

I fully agree. I bought my praise of death and til death do us part vinyls in the record store in around 86 or so for $40 each. I actually took the til death do us part back and complained about the 'Poverty Records? back door sally?' and was assured it was Slayer. damned if they weren't promptly stolen a few years later with the rest of my collection. its built its way back up and beyond (only managed to get a praise of death again though.) I wouldn't touch this lathe shite for free.

your page is great. I love all the different slayer boot vinyl info web pages online, & I especially like your magazine scans with Jeff!

What's the difference between a homemade bootleg and a bootleg? They're either way unauthorised by the band and label right?
