Why do fans dislike God Hates Us All?

When I first heard God Hates Us All, I couldn't believe how brutal it was. I still can't. Great fucking album to listen to when you want to smash someone's fucking face in but are prohibited or because you are a law abiding citizen who does the right thing (most times) on a daily basis. Instead, images of violence and torture have to suffice. What better backdrop?

I like kerry's lyrics on disciple " just me and my world of enemies". Its a good album but not my top 5. Divine intervention is better. Tom wrote some great songs on that album like 213, sex murder art

I love Divine Intervention too. Whether it is better than God Hates Us All is obviously open to debate.

If I ever had to pick a favorite Slayer song, it could be Divine Intervention. The topic, the lyrics, the music...one of the band's best. I think Tom shines on it.

GHUA is a horrible,awful album of tough guy lyrics,nu-metal downtuned crap riffs that sound like what a 14 year old korn fan would write when they first get a guitar,and the start of toms horrible yelling vocal style that he has now. seriously,its one of the stupidest albums ive ever attempted to listen to- i cant make it past a couple songs- and just an embarassing piece of crap

kerry king thinks its some sort of masterpiece or something,but its obviously not or this thread wouldnt exist. i was embarassed to be a slayer fan when i heard that crap "diabolus in musica" but GHUA makes that look like reign in blood. all that tough guy crap and wannabe slipknot music is pathetic

I dont love Diabolus or GHUA ! There might be 3 songs I like from both albums combined but in general they are real weak albums. With Diabolus I was surprised cause Jeff wrote the whole album and Kerry had 1. Usually Jeff's songs are the good ones on albums but not in this case
