Slayer Plans 'The Unholy Alliance: Chapter III'

Slayer are already making plans to come back to Europe this fall with the next edition of 'The Unholy Alliance: Chapter III' Tour that will feature Mastodon and Trivium (why?) in the direct support, an additional band is set to open. One date has already been confirmed for November 10, 2008 at Eishalle Deutweg in Winterthur, Switzerland. That also explains why Slayer rescheduled the Moscow, Russia show for around that time. Expect an official announcement and more dates to be revealed soon.

Slayer Postpone Russian Date

Slayer were forced to postpone their previously announced date in Moscow, Russia. Official release from the band reads: "Due to production reasons, we need to postpone our show in Moscow this summer from June 25th to November 29th. All tickets for the June 25th show are valid for entry on the rescheduled November 29th date." Update tour itinerary for 2008 can be viewed here.

More Festival Dates Confirmed

Slayer's 2008 European Festival itinerary has been slowly growing. The band has been confirmed to play in Belgrade, Serbia on June 24th (headline show), along with a show in Kavarna, Bulgaria on July 7th as part of Kaliakra Rock Fest. Slayer are also rumored to headline this year's edition of France's Hellfest which takes place June 20-22nd. Check out the tour dates section for the updated list of tour dates. Slayer Coming Back to Russia!

Slayer have scheduled a date in Moscow, Russia on June 25th. This will be Slayer's second time ever playing in Russia after performing there back in 1998. Slayer are also scheduled to perform in Tallinn, Estonia on July 1st as well as be a part of this year's Monsters of Rock set to take place in Zaragoza, Spain. Slayer Wins Grammy; First Live Date Confirmed

Earlier this afternoon, Slayer won a Grammy in the "Best Metal Performance" category in the pre-telecast ceremony at the 50th annual Grammy Awards, which are being held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Kerry to Appear at the NAMM Show

Kerry King, among many other musicians, will be taking part in signing sessions for EMG Pickups at this year's winter NAMM show, which takes place January 17-20 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. Slayer nominated for a grammy; Tom comments

Hey everybody, just wanted to check it as it's been a while because not a lot is going on right now in Slayer camp; the band is on a much deserved break until early next year, thus no real updates for the past month. However I do want to address a few things. First, a new SS Forums template is coming this month as I know a lot of you are angry and are constantly asking me about that, so know that it's my main priority right now as far as the site goes. Second, more multimedia content will be coming around the holidays so keep a lookout for a new poll to vote for your choice of shows and stuff. Until then... ~ss admin
