Slayer confirm festivals in Canada and Germany

Slayer will be back in Canada to perform at the Heavy T.O. festival that will be held July 23-24 at Downsview Park in Toronto, Ontario. Slayer is also set to play this year's edition of Bang Your Head!!! festival, on July 15-16 in Balingen, Germany. Check out the festival Web sites for full line-ups and ticket information.

Sydney show canceled; Tom hospitalized

Slayer to play South America this June?

There are strong reports that Slayer will be playing in Lima, Peru on June 11th, and all things indicate to a full South American tour. Slayer's been planning to come back to South America since last Fall when Kerry King announced in an interview that a full tour is being put together, a first in S.A. since September, 2006. Nothing materialized then so it seems this is really happening early this summer. More details to come soon...

'Big Four' Italian date announced

Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax are set to play another 'Big Four' show this time in Milan, Italy at the Fiera Open Air Arena on July 6, 2011. According to Metallica's Web site, there's one more show yet to be announced in Europe...stay tuned.

German 'Big Four' show announced; Slayer to play Slovenia

Another 'Big Four' show will happen, this time in Gelsenkirchen, Germany at the Veltins Arena on July 2, 2011. You can get your tickets now over at Eventim.de. Slayer's also confirmed to play this year's Metalcamp Festival set to take place July 11-17, 2011 in Tolmin, Slovenia.

Gary Holt, guitar player from Exodus and a long friend of the band, is set to fill in for Jeff Hanneman on Slayer's upcoming Australian tour. Jeff is currently recovering from surgery and we wish him a speedy recovery and back in Slayer where he rightfully belongs!

For the first time ever, the Big Four (Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax) will play as part of Sonisphere Festivals on July 8th in Knebworth, UK and on July 9th in Amneville, France.
